Laura has long been drawn to properties with a strong sense of place—an exceptional stretch of shoreline, an architecturally significant residence, a historic village home, or a private property tucked away at the end of a quiet Maine road. She takes equal satisfaction in introducing buyers to places they may never have discovered on their own and in helping sellers articulate what makes their property truly special.
For sellers, Laura combines local market knowledge with sophisticated presentation and strategic marketing. Her approach begins with identifying the defining attributes of a property and developing a compelling narrative around them, supported by exceptional photography, thoughtful positioning, and the global reach and marketing resources of the Sotheby’s International Realty® network.
Her connection to real estate began personally. Laura purchased her first investment property at the age of 24 and continued investing before becoming licensed in Maine in 2011. She expanded her practice to Central Florida in 2018 and remains licensed in both states, providing an additional perspective for clients relocating, purchasing second homes, or considering properties beyond Maine.
Laura holds the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS®), and e-PRO® designations. Her international designation and affiliation with Sotheby’s International Realty complement a practice increasingly centered on clients seeking distinctive properties and highly individualized representation.
Born and raised in Maine on a 50-acre gentleman’s farm, Laura’s appreciation for land, architecture, and the character of rural Maine began early. She was involved in 4-H from the age of eight and competed in saddleseat riding throughout Maine and New England, representing the State of Maine for three years at Eastern States Exposition. She owned and showed both a Morgan and an American Saddlebred horse.
Before real estate, Laura spent more than two decades in professional photography and visual media. She operated an editorial celebrity photo agency with photographers in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Nashville and New York, covering major movie premieres, awards ceremonies, sporting events, and live performances. Her photography was syndicated worldwide and appeared in prominent national and international publications.
Among the extraordinary moments she photographed were LeBron James during his final high school basketball game, Andrea Bocelli during his first North American performance with the Pittsburgh Symphony, and Elizabeth Taylor at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Party.
That career continues to shape Laura’s approach to luxury real estate. She understands that exceptional marketing is about more than documenting a property—it is about recognizing what is distinctive, creating an emotional connection, and presenting a home in a way that resonates with the right audience.
Laura and her husband, a retired dentist who owned a practice in Kennebunkport, have been together for more than 35 years. Their shared love of travel has taken them throughout the United States and abroad, while Laura remains especially drawn to the small towns, working waterfronts, islands, and coastal communities that give Maine its enduring character.
Whether representing a legacy waterfront estate, a historic Maine residence, a secluded coastal retreat, or a buyer searching for an extraordinary place to call home, Laura approaches every relationship with discretion, creativity, attentive communication, and an unwavering commitment to her clients.
